SH Ryu Studio is a one-person software studio in Seoul, building consumer products for Korean-speaking people. Founder Seunghyun Ryu brings a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) background in regulated industries. Our two products in development explore daily saju (Korean Four Pillars) readings and desktop character companionship.

Today, One Step (오늘의 한 걸음)

A daily saju (Korean Four Pillars) companion with a character named Mora. Each short reading suggests one small thing to do. It is made for entertainment.

A deterministic calculation engine and a fixed, versioned reading bank.
Readings use plain Korean in a single-screen format.
Runs in your browser; it is designed not to store or send your birth details.

In development

Companion

A desktop character companion in development. The prototype explores conversation and memory on your computer.

We are building a pipeline that turns 2D character designs into 3D characters that can dance, emote and speak.
The desktop prototype can converse and remember details across sessions.
Conversation and memory are designed to stay on your own computer.

How we build

Today, we use Claude only for development, through Claude Code. We do not use Claude inside either product.

We plan to evaluate Claude inside the products for Korean dialogue with characters and for reviewing written content.

We check development builds through evaluation and independent review.

About the founder

Seunghyun Ryu is a Site Reliability Engineer with experience in public-sector, finance and medical-device cloud operations. He is building SH Ryu Studio as a one-person software studio.
